Root Chakra

Root Chakra
Patience, Structure, Stability, Security, The ability to manifest our dreams. (p.41) The first energy center is called the Root Chakra. It rests in the perineum at the base of the spine, and draws energy from the magnetic field at the earth's core. This energy moves up through the feet and legs, energizing blood and tissues in the body. It stimulates aggressive drives linked to survival and anchors our spirit on the material plane, establishing our worldly existence.

Abilities

The Root Chakra's intelligence helps us to administer our life force. It is based on order in the energetic economy. It is concerned with the qualities of order, security, structure, and stability that we need to make a viable existence. It encourages attitudes that firmly establish our right to the life we say we want. We need to cultivate attitudes that trust in the goodness of life to get us through difficult and challenging times. The more inner stability we can mentally create, the more grounded life becomes and the better we are able to cope with change.

They imply a trust and a sense of belonging, and tell us that there is love, support, and care to get us through difficult and challenging times. It may not come in the form we think we need, but if we are quiet and still we can sense it in nature, in the kindness of strangers, and in many gentle and tender ways. Be still, do nothing. Earth

Earth/Sun represent the end of meaning, the heart of it all. The two are one. The marriage is consummated, the child is born. The Earth is us as we are in our oneness. The Sun is the essence of what it all means. The planets inside the orbit of the Earth, Venus and Mercury, are very misunderstood in modern astrology. Both are beyond any physical depiction.

  • Saturn

    Saturn

Main principle: to contract (negentropy), jell (crystallize), to form or organize, ignorance or agnoia. Saturn is exceedingly cold and dry which qualifies it as a malefic. The dryness makes distinctions which separate and the cold nullifies or slows activity and togetherness. This can create depression and a lack of understanding of other perspectives. But the coldness allows concentration of molecules (ideas) and the dryness gives it structured form. It signifies responsibility, achievement and discipline.
